GLAZING 🎨
Once a ceramic piece has undergone bisque firing, it’s time for the glazing process. This involves applying a glaze—a blend of ground glass, clays, coloring materials, and water—to the bisque ware. Techniques like dipping, pouring, spraying, brushing, and sponging are used to achieve the desired effect. The footring of each piece is carefully left unglazed and the pot is placed on a bisque-fired 'cookie' made from stoneware clay. The final step is the glaze firing, which completes the transformation.
